Restore is not standing still.
We have ambitious plans to grow for each of our five businesses. And we are just as ambitious for our people, their careers and their wellbeing.
We have created an environment and culture where opportunities and development have no limits. Continually evolving and focusing on progression allows us to constantly achieve. Through skills development and growth, our people have been supported to move into new areas and sectors and develop themselves and their careers at the right pace for them. Our investment in our teams is part of our long-term strategy and will continue as we know our people are what makes us so successful.
No two days are the same at Restore, and the challenge and pace this creates is exceptional. What makes it achievable is our teams and people who come together for each other and our customers. We collaborate and work as ONE to succeed because we are proud of the outstanding work we can do. Teamwork isn’t just a word at Restore; it’s the backbone of who we are.
We are committed to ensuring Restore is a great place to work, and our people’s welfare and wellbeing are at the heart of this. Everyone is an individual, and we support everyone to be their true selves. Mental Health First Aiders are on all sites, and we continually promote wellbeing through discussion and access to the Health Assured app.
We value our diversity and commitment to equal opportunities for all, as it ensures we are continually innovating and evolving. Throughout our growth and development, Restore has kept its culture of welcoming all and ensuring that everyone has a voice and an opportunity to influence. We run monthly “ask the MD” meetings across all our businesses, and this gives everyone the chance to ask questions, make suggestions and discuss anything on their mind with their Managing Director. This approach was particularly effective during COVID -19 and ensured everyone stayed connected and understood what was happening and how Restore supported teams and people during this difficult time.
We continue to be ambitious and have a strategy to ensure Restore remains a great place to work with further investment in our values, leadership and skills development. We are excited for our future.
At Restore, we are focused on creating sustainable careers for our people and communities across the UK. We are committed to Zero to Landfill, ensuring our fleet of vehicles have minimum toxic emissions with a focus on electric vehicles. We give our customers access to a customer service portal, where they can generate their own sustainability reports which allows them to see how much they have recycled and how much they have reduced their environmental impact.
Along with our commitment to sustainability, we also partner with several charities and organisations, including “business 2 schools”, where we donate laptops and technical equipment, and “Crisis at Christmas”, where we donate our vans to help deliver beds and beddings to homeless shelters.
My team is amazing. My work colleagues work so hard and we work so well as a team. No two days are the same and I enjoy the challenges and changes this brings. I’m doing different things each day and I’m proud of what I have achieved here.charlie page, mailroom team leader
